Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Preparation
● Clean the surface where you plan to apply the carbon fiber. Ensure it is free of dirt, grease, and dust for optimal adhesion.
● Cutting the Carbon Fiber Sheet:
● Apply tape to the section where you plan to cut. This keeps the fibers intact and prevents fraying.
● Use sharp scissors or a utility knife to cut along the tape, ensuring clean edges.
2. Mixing the Epoxy Resin
● Measure equal parts of Part A and Part B into a clean mixing container.
● Stir the mixture thoroughly for at least 3 minutes until fully blended. The mix should appear uniform with no visible streaks.
3. Applying the Epoxy Resin
● Use a brush or roller to apply a thin, even layer of the mixed epoxy resin onto the prepared surface.
● Carefully place the carbon fiber sheet over the resin, smoothing it out to remove bubbles or wrinkles.
● Apply another layer of resin over the carbon fiber, ensuring the sheet is fully saturated and all areas are coated.
4. Curing the Resin
● Allow the epoxy resin to cure for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry location.
● Keep the project undisturbed during this time. Environmental factors such as humidity or temperature may affect curing time, so ensure the resin is fully hardened before proceeding.
5. Finishing Touches
● Once cured, sand rough edges or imperfections using fine-grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.
